Dairy Freeze
If you’re in Toronto and craving a throwback spot for a quick bite, Dairy Freeze might just become your new favorite stop. Tucked on St Clair Ave W, Dairy Freeze has been around for ages, serving locals with the kind of no-fuss charm you only find in classic neighborhood joints. This spot is where you roll in for a burger, fries, and a soft-serve cone without overthinking what to order.
What’s great about Dairy Freeze is how it captures the feeling of summer even in the middle of a busy week. The moment you walk up to its modest storefront, you catch the comforting smell of fresh fries in the air. Their burgers come hot off the grill with that satisfying crisp on the edges, layered simply with lettuce, tomato, and cheese-no gimmicks, just good, comforting taste.
And let’s talk about their milkshakes. Dairy Freeze is known for serving up thick, old-school shakes that feel like a reward after a long day. Whether you’re grabbing a chocolate or strawberry shake, it’s the kind that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the moment. It’s the same with their soft-serve cones, swirled perfectly, and the kind of treat you’ll want to take a quick photo of before diving in.
People drop by Dairy Freeze because it feels like home. It’s the spot where you see parents with kids grabbing cones after soccer practice, friends sharing fries on the curb, or neighbors popping in for a late snack. It’s casual, unfussy, and exactly what a local restaurant should be. If you’re in the area and looking for a taste of nostalgia that still holds up, Dairy Freeze is worth the stop.

Dairy Freeze Reviews
i love their onion rings...i sometimes dream about them... burgers are not bad too... Hits the spot e verytime...
The blonde cashier is a weirdo and looks like a scammer. The salad is watery and disgusting. The chicken made me nauseas. The rice has no taste. It's not that cheap. The place has little seating and parking. The icecream was okay McDonald's was better lol
Perfect perfect especially late night when you are so hungry for a juicy cheese burger. It's a wow burger so delicious. I promise you will finish it all to the last bite. No time for pics. I couldn't wait ... you must try this hidden gem in Toronto
Great spot. I always get the chicken souvlaki and it never disappoints. Cheeks is made freshly and assembled in front of you with home made tzatziki.
I’ve been going to this place since I was kid and love it so much! They underwent renovations and prices did go up a little, but honestly it’s such a nice, quaint, cheap place to go when you’re craving some burgers, plus they’re open till 2! The burgers and the atmosphere are nostalgic and their fries are tasty. Their milkshakes are sooo delicious—the texture reminds me of a Wendy’s frosty! Always happy to go and grab a bite :)
Love this place. Always a good burger and fries. I have been coming here since the early 90's. I like the new renovations since the last time I was there.
